Oberwerth extended warranty: “Lifetime guarantee” after registration

Optional lifetime extended warranty from B&F Oberwerth GmbH(hereinafter also referred to as “Oberwerth”) after the statutory two-year retailer’s guarantee.

In order to claim under this warranty, the Oberwerth product being registered must have been placed on the market by our distribution partner B&F Oberwerth GmbH. Claims can only be made under this warranty if the Oberwerth product is registered within eight weeks of purchase (both the serial number and sales receipt, including purchase date, are required as proof).

 

Warranty provided by B&F Oberwerth GmbH, Friedrich-Mohr-Str. 13, 56070 Koblenz, Germany:

For selected bags that can be selected in the registration list at the time of purchase on the Oberwerth website (www.oberwerth.com) and which have been registered within eight weeks of purchase, net SE shall grant the consumer an independent lifetime extended warranty upon the expiry of the statutory two-year retailer’s guarantee without prejudice to existing rights concerning material defects and defects of title.

Should the product exhibit defects during the warranty period due to material or manufacturing defects, it will be repaired or replaced by a product free from defects free of charge and at our discretion.

To claim under the “lifetime extended warranty”, you must provide proof of the purchase date by submitting the original receipt (cash register copy) and the warranty confirmation created during registration and sent to the email address you provided.

The warranty must be fulfilled by Oberwerth. The objectionable product must be sent to Oberwerth. The cost of any repairs not carried out by Oberwerth is non-refundable.

The warranty does not cover, damage, defects or malfunctions caused by improper operation or handling, impact, being dropped or soiling, e.g. by moisture, sand, dust, dirt, battery leakage or use of inappropriate care and cleaning agents.

In addition, the warranty does not cover damage caused or exacerbated by improper repair attempts.

The warranty does not include the repair, maintenance or replacement of parts whose damage and/or wear are a regular consequence of normal use.

The warranty is void if changes have been made to the product without the explicit permission of the manufacturer.

Furthermore, no warranty claims may be made if the model name and serial number have been removed, altered or rendered illegible. The serial number is sewn into the interior compartment of each Oberwerth bag. If you cannot find a serial number in this place, you can register your bag regardless by sending your receipt and personal information to register@oberwerth.com. Please note that your details are processed manually in such cases and registration may take several days to complete.

The warranty is not transferable. Only those Oberwerth products named as being part of the lifetime extended warranty and selected in the registration list at the time of purchase are covered by the warranty. The warranty does not apply to used and/or privately purchased goods. B&F Oberwerth GmbH shall be liable to compensate for damage only on the basis of mandatory statutory regulations including, but not limited to, the provisions of the German Product Liability Act. In particular, warranty claims do not include compensation claims for destroyed films or memory cards, wasted development costs, data loss, batteries, travel expenses, loss of earnings, fees or any other consequential damages arising from the defect.

All other commitments, in particular assumed warranties expressly or implicitly issued by third parties, will not be binding on our part but on the part of those who issued the additional commitment. Where the buyer has purchased the Oberwerth product as a consumer within the meaning of the law, any statutory claims for defects against the seller arising from this fact will not be restricted by this warranty.

Important information:
Retain your registration confirmation and proof of purchase. B&F Oberwerth GmbH shall not be liable for their loss and does not issue duplicates.

By registering, the customer agrees that B&F Oberwerth GmbH can store their personal data. These data is only used for communication with the customer and is not forwarded to third parties.

If repair work is required, please send the securely-packaged product to the aforementioned address with a detailed description of the fault as well as the filled-out warranty card, proof of purchase, email confirmation, and, if necessary, sample images. For your own interests, please ensure your package is adequately insured. B&F Oberwerth GmbH shall not assume any shipping costs after the expiry of the two-year statutory retailer’s guarantee and only makes free returns within Germany. Shipments outside Germany will be delivered to you at cost price.

If net SE determines a product sent in is not eligible for free services under the terms of this warranty, they will inform the customer and specify the estimated repair costs. If the customer does not place a corresponding repair order within two weeks, the Oberwerth product will be returned to them unrepaired.
